(2905) Whiting`s counterbalancing system
The counterweight is housed in a chamber that has a large inlet pipe with its mouth just below the full reservoir level and a small exit pipe kept constantly open. The outflow is less than the inflow and hence buoyancy is exerted over the counterweight which helps in its automatic operation.
